The Offical Web Site of "The Warriors of Love" Youth Group
December 17, 2004- Hey everyone! It's been a
while since an update! We apologize for the delay, but that certainly doesn't mean we haven't been busy. Since the last update,
we've gotten A LOT done in the U-turn Cafe. In fact, we are basically done everything except the snack bar, which we are starting
to raise more money for at this time. We also need to "renovate"/get furnishings for the cafe like tables and chairs. It's
all painted a cool design (we are hoping to post some pictures soon of the painting process) and we are really excited and
proud of it! In the last few weeks, we have layed out a plan for how U-turn will run with the new cafe and all. We have proposed
to hold U-turn on Sunday evenings since #1, it's a good time for all the youth to be able to get there, and #2 the church
hasn't be having evening services since the beginning of summer, so we might as well have an outreach to the community during
that time.
Most of the youth are involved in a Christmas drama that we will be doing
in Sunday morning service. It is a drama to the song "Still Her Little Child" by Ray Boltz. It's really powerful and we can't
wait to do it. The youth group also exchanged names for poliana's a few Wednesday nights ago, so we are excited to exchange
gifts! Tonight, Friday, we are meeting at the Church to built Gingerbread houses! We did this last year and it was a lot of
fun. We'll have to take some pictures and post them on the site!
Well, that's all the updates for now besides that Kristy and Bobby will
be home for Christmas and we are so excited! We miss them a lot and it will be cool to have them around for a week or two,
and they are planning on going New Year's bowling with us too, so that will be cool! By the way, as every other year, we will
be going bowling this year at Lincolnway Bowling Center. Call Sam right away if you want to go!
That's all for now! Remember guys...things might get tough, but like the
old Audio Adrenaline song goes..."you can't take God away from me, you can take my life, my land, my liberty...you
can lock me up, or set me free, but you can't take God from me." They can try to take people away from us, but God
will be honored in the end...and we shouldn't get dissappointed, because he is in CONTROL, not man.

August 14, 2004- (sorry, 2003 was posted for a long time there...it
was supposed to be 2004)Hey everyone! We've finally got a chance to make some updates to the
site. Aimee and myself (Angel) are the people who normally upate the site. However, we tend to be so busy that getting on
the computer to update this page never happens! Hopefully we will be "training" someone else to use this web-building program
so someone that has time can update properly!
A lot of advances in the U-turn Cafe have been made since we last mentioned it! Electricity has
been run, dry wall is hung, all the plastering junk is on, and the drop-ceiling is installed. We're basically ready for
paint. The youth are excited because we have designed a color scheme that will be awesome! We are incorporating a black and
white checkered border (rather large) with red walls and decor to accentuate! You gotta see it when its done to believe it!
The youth group is heading out to Ocean City, MD next weekend (August 20-21) to enjoy the salt
water and roughin' it at the campground. We all love the experience, especially camping! It's a great time to hang out together
and have a good time!
We'll besides the fact that we do have intentions of re-starting the newsletter, I can't promise
when exactly that will happen. Hold tight! (And for those of you who know what I'm talking about, It's not like we have a
lot to write about this summer!) Thanks for visiting!
